Class Overview: This DECATS favorite is always a crowd pleaser! If you've ever watched "Saturday Night Live" or "Whose Line is it Anyway?", and thought, "I could do that," then this is the class for you. Play games, create original scenes, orchestrate elaborate pranks, and have a fun in this hilarious, fast-paced class. Learn how to think on your feet, keep your cool, and get the crowd laughing in this silly, surprising and sometimes shocking elective! Students enrolled in the Improv elective will learn the fundamentals of long form improvisation. Exercises in scene work and improvisation will lead students to feeling comfortable to express themselves creatively in a safe and supportive environment. From quick warm up games such as zip-zap-zop to learning the outlines of some of the most well-known long forms, students will leave the class knowing and appreciating this growing art form.
